Weeki Wachee husband, wife booked separately on same day

WEEKI WACHEE – The sheriff’s office arrested a Lutz couple early Monday morning on charges of possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license.

Arrest affidavits show Justin Wayne Magdziak, 25, was driving near Sunshine Grove Road and Webster Street when his Crown Victoria was pulled over for a faulty license plate light.

Deputy Travis Richards wrote in his report he smelled marijuana in the car and later found three marijuana cigarettes in the car.

Magdziak later told Richards he probably found his “joint” in the car. On his way to the jail, Magdziak told the deputy nothing goes right for him, later adding “being in possession of marijuana was not a bad decision,” per the affidavit.

Magdziak was booked on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and released later on $1,000 bond.

After Magdziak was taken to jail, his wife, Patricia Magdziak, 27, was told not to drive the car home because she had a suspended license.

Patricia Magdziak said she would wait for her mother to come get the car. Magdziak was pulled over while driving the car a short time later. Magdziak was booked on charges of knowingly driving with a suspended or revoked license. She bonded out for $500.
