How to Read and Use Your GPS
9:00am-12:00pm. Hernando Beach Coast Guard Auxiliary, 4340 Calienta Street, Hernando Beach. The program focuses on the GPS equipment typically owned by the recreational boater. You will learn how to program waypoints, develop routes and interface GPS routes with a nautical chart. The fee is $35.00 per person, and includes text materials. License-Free Freshwater Fishing Days
Free fishing days provide an excellent opportunity for parents who don’t yet have licenses to take youth fishing, or avid anglers to introduce a friend to fishing without having to purchase a license. On these days, the fishing license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers (residents and non-residents). All other rules (e.g., seasons, bag and size limits) apply. The freshwater waiver applies to any recreational harvest requiring a freshwater fishing license.
