Papa Joe’s Italian Restaurant launches new loving food culinary scholarship fund

Joe and Donna Giarratana, owners of Papa Joe’s Italian Restaurant in Brooksville, Florida have announced their partnership with the Hernando County Education Foundation, launching the new Papa Joe’s Loving Food Culinary Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will benefit graduating seniors of Hernando County enrolling in culinary arts school.

The announcement took place on the most recent episode of the Giarratana’s new cooking show, Loving Food, which airs on Hernando County Government Broadcast at Brighthouse Channel 622 and is streamed online on their website www.papajoes.org.

The episode featured a cook off between three local high schools: Central High, Hernando High, and Nature Coast Technical. Beth Narverud, the new executive director of the Hernando County Education Foundation was their special guest celebrating the friendly cooking challenge.

The Papa Joe’s Loving Food Culinary Scholarship will benefit two exceptional graduating seniors of Hernando County enrolling in culinary arts school. Each recipient will receive $500 that will be applied to their first year’s tuition. The scholarship application can be found online at their website, www.papajoes.org, or picked up at their restaurant located at 6244 Spring Lake Highway in Brooksville. All applications must be postmarked or hand delivered by deadline, next month, April 16 by 8 p.m. in order to be considered.
