HCSO: Woman disturbed peace at Winn-Dixie

SPIRING HILL – A 46-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night after causing a disturbance at Winn-Dixie, Hernando County sheriff’s officials said.

Ines Ortiz, 46, was arguing with a man at the 11092 Spring Hill Drive store when she hurled a plastic soda bottle at the alleged victim, hitting his arm, an arrest affidavit shows.

Ortiz, of Bannister Street, also began arguing with another customer in the store and waved a steak knife at him.

Multiple people witnessed the encounter.

Ortiz was arrested on charges of battery and disturbing the peace. She was being held in lieu of $500 bail.

Court records show Ortiz was convicted of a felony trespassing charge in 2002.
