William E. Banks, 78, of Brooksville, died Friday, Feb. 19. He was born in Pontiac, Mich., and moved to this area 39 years ago.
Survivors include three sons, William E. Banks Jr., Kevin Banks and John Banks; two daughters, Kathy Rogers and Susan Banks; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LeRoy “Roy” Boardman, 86, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Mr. Boardman was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was an avid fiddler and played “old time” fiddle music.
Survivors include his wife, Franceis; two sons, Les and Lee; and a sister, Goldie.

Mary Anne Benton, 66, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 26.
Survivors include her husband, Allen; two sons, Allen Jr. and Glen; a daughter, Stephanie; and seven grandchildren.

Edward Bernier, 76, of Weeki Wachee, died Friday, Feb. 26, at his home. He was born in Springfield, Mass., and moved to this area five years ago from West Palm Beach.
Mr. Bernier was a machinist for a tool and die company, a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and the American Legion, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne M.; a son, Rene Bernier of Springfield, Mass.; three stepsons, Thomas Dygon of Miliani, Hawaii, and Allan Dygon and Steven Dygon, both of Chicopee, Mass.; a daughter, Daniele Asselin of Wilbraham, Mass.; two stepdaughters, AnnMarie McDonell of Ware, Mass., and Cynthia Smith of Columbus, N.C.; two brothers, Philip Bernier of Feeding Hills, Mass., and Ernest Bernier of San Andreas, Calif.; a sister, Carol Desnoyers of Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise E. Freitas, 77, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Feb. 27, at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. She was born in Manhattan, New York, and moved to this area recently from Largo.
Mrs. Freitas retired from the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean conflict, and was a Pentecostal by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Tarduno of Spring Hill and Lora Surrusco of Riverview; a sister, Mary Wegelin of New York; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

James Frank Zordan, 75, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 28, at home.
Mr. Zordan was a member of the Shrines.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; five children, Debra Culala, Michael Zordan, Scott Zordan, Cynthia Ginardi and Thomas Zordan; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
