Woman beaten with cane

SPRING HILL – A Spring Hill man was booked on aggravated battery charges Tuesday after allegedly hitting a woman in the head with a cane.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, John Vislocky and his girlfriend were arguing and he struck the back of her head with his wooden cane.

The victim told deputies Vislocky came home drunk, shoved her to the floor and began beating her.

The woman sustained a hematoma on the front and back of her head, an orbital socket fracture on her eye and lateral and medial side fractures.

Vislocky was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and is being held on $25,000 bond.

Court records show Vislocky was adjudicated guilty on three counts of battery, and resisting an officer in August. Vislocky was sentenced to one month time served on the misdemeanor charges.
