Woman accused of stealing ear phones, pregnancy test

BROOKSVILLE – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrested Angelisa Monique Townsend on Tuesday at Kohl’s at 3101 Aerial Way on charges of retail theft.

The 23-year-old Spring Hill woman is believed to have taken items from the store on Monday and Tuesday that valued $67.42. The Tuesday incident was caught on video surveillance, according to the arrest affidavit.

Townsend later told deputies she took a PlayStation 3 earpiece for her brother’s 16th birthday, and took for herself a pair of earphones, Monistat cream and a pregnancy test.

Townsend said she had taken merchandise from the same store in the past, and said she was unemployed and unable to pay for the goods.

The woman was released on $250 bond Wednesday afternoon.

Court and arrest records do not indicate Townsend has been arrested in Hernando County in the past.
