Weeki Wachee mermaids help Florida Aquarium celebrate 15th year

TAMPA –
The Florida Aquarium will have a new species on display this month as part of its 15th anniversary.

Mermaids from Weeki Wachee Springs will splash into the aquarium’s Coral Reef exhibit, the facility’s largest tank.

They’re scheduled to perform May 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Also as a part of the celebration, The Florida Aquarium is offering discounted admission of $15 this month, if purchased online.
