Walmart employee booked for calculator theft
BROOKSVILLE – An employee of the Walmart Distribution Center was booked Wednesday afternoon on retail theft charges after allegedly stealing a graphing calculator.
A Hernando County arrest affidavit shows Victor Jimenez was arrested around 4 p.m. at the 4100 Kettering Road warehouse. Jimenez picked up a Texas Instruments graphing calculator that fell on the floor, hid it in his sock and walked out, the affidavit reads.
Jimenez was stopped by Walmart management, and later admitted to stealing the electronic calculator.
Jimenez was released on $250 bond later Wednesday evening.
Records do not show Jimenez has been arrested in Hernando County in the past.
