Three found with drug paraphernalia in vehicle, deputies say

SPRING HILL -Three people were arrested late Monday after drug paraphernalia was found inside their vehicle parked at a gas pump in Spring Hill, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

An employee at the RaceTrac, 9410 Cortez Blvd., called law enforcement after noticing a car was parked by one of the pumps for more than an hour, and appeared to be suspicious.

When Deputy Vincent Mascitelli asked the driver, Dustin Winfough, to get out of the car, a syringe cap fell to the ground, deputies said. An arrest affidavit shows Winfough, 27, tried to kick it under the car.

Winfough said there was a spoon with Oxycodone powder on it under his seat, and when he was being taken into custody, passenger George Rand, 19, was seen trying to hide a syringe under his seat, deputies said.

Rand was detained, along with a third person, Natalie Dennison, 30, who was found with a syringe hidden in her pants, deputies said.

The drug equipment tested positive for amphetamines, the report shows.

Winfough, of Weeki Wachee, was arrested on charges of possession of drug equipment, as well as additional charges of dealing in stolen property, fraud, burglary and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Bail was not set, according to the Hernando County Jail’s booking site.

Rand, of Brooksville, was arrested on charges of possession of drug equipment, and was being held on no bail, according to the booking site.

Dennison, of Weeki Wachee, was arrested on two counts of possession of drug equipment, and was being held on no bail, according to the booking site.
