‘Peter Pan Jr.’
Stage West Community Playhouse’s production of “Peter Pan Jr.” continues Friday through Sunday at 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd. in Spring Hill.
It’s the familiar story of a boy who can fly and never grows up, who interacts with fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children on the small island of Neverland.

‘It’s Jazz!’

‘Forever Plaid’
The Show Palace production of the doo-wop musical “Forever Plaid” continues through Aug. 24 at The Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19 in Hudson. It’s the story of a singing quartet killed in a 1950s car accident, who return to Earth to retell their stories and perform ‘50s classics.

NRA fundraiser for Hernando chapter
Hernando County Friends of NRA will have a non-political charitable fundraiser, “Buffet Dinner and Live Auction” from 6 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 21 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 20428 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Tickets are $40 per person or $300 for a reserved table that seats eight. This family-friendly fundraiser will feature games, a silent auction and prizes. The dress code is casual. Realtors planning 5K fundraiser
Hernando County Association of Realtors hosts a 5K Walk for Weekend Blessings from 8 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 23 at Delta Woods Park, 3400 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill. This walk-a-thon fundraiser will benefit People Helping People in Hernando County and sponsors are needed to help feed the children. A $50 sponsorship provides your company name on back of the T-shirt; $100 sponsorship, your company name and logo on back of T-shirt or provide the shirts and your name and logo large at top on back of shirt.

Vendors wanted for model train show
Vendors are needed for an upcoming hobby and train Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., Brooksville. All scales are welcome — any train memorabilia, model trains, comics, coins, toys, collectibles or any other hobby related items you may be interested in selling.

Registration for health fair now underway
Early registration for the 10th Annual Hernando Community Health Fair is underway.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 11 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Heffernan Hall, 20428 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. This event draws a crowd of people interested in local health information and screenings, free samples of signature items from local food establishments, live music and a children’s activity area.
