Spring Lake crash kills couple

SPRING LAKE – A Thursday night collision has left Michael and Tracy Arnold of Deepwell Drive dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Arnold, 36, was driving his Yamaha YZ85 dirt bike with his wife, Tracy Arnold, 40, riding a Yamaha Banshee all terrain vehicle. They couple were riding in opposite directions along Hayman Road, east of Deep Well Drive, when they hit each other “nearly head on,” the FHP said.

The husband and wife were thrown from their respective vehicles. Neither were wearing a helmet, and both died on the scene.

The FHP will determine if alcohol played a factor in the crash, according to a report.
