Ridge Manor man faces charges of dealing in stolen property

RIDGE MANOR – A 20-year-old Ridge Manor man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on charges of dealing in stolen property.

When Eric Guntrum was pulled over for having an “improper tint” on his 1988 Ford Ranger’s windshield, deputies noticed a Honda dirt bike tied down in the back with an altered VIN number, an arrest affidavit shows.

A check of the VIN showed the bike had been reported stolen in Hernando County, deputies said.

Guntrum said he bought the bike for $800 and should have known it was stolen.

He was arrested on charges of dealing in stolen property and is being held on $1,000 bond.
