Pasco man charged in stepfather’s slaying

A Hudson man is charged with first-degree murder, accused of stabbing his stepfather to death after an altercation at his apartment, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Keith Connors, 21, was arrested Monday after witnesses identified him leaving the scene of an apartment at 12 Wind River Lane in the Harbor Oaks Apartments where Jeffory Fuqua, 42, was found stabbed to death Saturday evening, according to a complaint affidavit.

“The victim appeared to be disemboweled,” the affidavit said.

In addition to first-degree murder, Connors is charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
