“Operation Turkey Drop”
Our Telecommunicators, the lifeline between our citizens and first responders, decided they wanted to do “something special for someone” this Thanksgiving.
Many of our Telecommunicators (along with deputies, detectives, and various other first responders) have recently attended Crisis Intervention Training, here at the Sheriff’s Office. With that being said, they have had the opportunity to both meet and interact with citizens from our community who are in need this holiday season.
Our very generous Telecommunicators donated (and delivered) 16 turkeys to these deserving citizens this morning to ensure they have a very Happy Thanksgiving. They fondly referred to this gesture as “Operation Turkey Drop.”
Also, a special thanks going out to Publix Supermarket at Glen Lakes for their participation in this kind gesture.
