National Night Out – 2015
Please join Sheriff Al Nienhuis and the men and women of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Target store located at 3101 Aerial Way in Spring Hill for National Night Out.
This is our third year partnering with Target at this location.
There will be food, drinks, entertainment, games and much more, and everything is FREE. It’s an exciting night of fun for the entire family!
Last year the event was a huge success, with over 9,000 guests in attendance!
National Night Out is part of the National Association of Town Watch (1981).
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with more than 100 local businesses and groups to bring this event to Hernando County. As always, the event will include static displays from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Hernando County Fire Rescue, Florida Highway Patrol, as well as numerous other agencies within Hernando County.
Some of the demonstrations that you can expect to see will include a fire safety smoke house, the “Jaws of Life,” and the roll over simulator from the Florida Highway Patrol. This simulator shows the importance of safety belt use.
Back this year, by popular demand, are the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Aviation and K-9 Units. Our K-9 teams will be providing demonstrations throughout the evening.
There will be numerous activities for children, including bounce houses, cow give-aways, etc. Live music will be provided by WWJB. There will be free snacks and beverages from big name restaurants, and much more. We hope to see you there!
