Man faces numerous molestation charges

SPRING HILL – Hernando County Sheriff’s detectives arrested and charged a Spring Hill man Friday with multiple counts of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation involving a girl less than 12 years old.

Daniel William Hoover, 27, of Bondstone Street, was being held at the Hernando County Jail without bail.

Hoover was charged with six counts of sexual battery of a victim under 12 and three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jail records do not show Hoover has been arrested in Hernando in the past.

Per state statute, no additional information was being released that could identify the victim.
