JUSTICE IS SERVED
on 01-16-15 Tracey Merrill beat his live-in girlfriend, Amanda Coutteau, within inches of her life. He beat her repeatedly with a bar-stool until the stool broke into several pieces. After being severely beaten, Amanda was able to flee and call for help.
Tracey Merrill was arrested a short time later.
After a very trying trial, Assistant State Attorneys Rob Lewis and Kasey Cadavieco were able to obtain convictions on Merrill for:
– Aggravated Battery w/Great Bodily Harm w/a Deadly Weapon
– False Imprisonment
– Domestic Battery by Strangulation.
Judge Merritt Jr. referred to Merrill as one of the most violent people that has come before him.
Judge Merritt Jr. then handed down a sentence of LIFE IN PRISON.
Thanks to all persons involved in the arrest, investigation, and prosecution of this case, this individual will no longer be free to cause harm to any person.
