Honoring a man of service

With his retirement set in July, Lt. Colonel Royce Decker of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office was honored at Wednesday’s Hernando Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting at Silverthorn. Sheriff Al Nienhuis and former sheriff Thomas Mylander spoke to chamber members about Decker’s decades of dedication to the community. He received a plaque recognizing his 30 years of service to the citizens of Hernando County.
