Glen Lakes plaza gets new property manager

BROOKSVILLE –
The Shoppes at Glen Lakes, north of Weeki Wachee, has a new property manager.

The Sembler Company took over management last month, confirmed company CEO Ron Wheeler.

Wheeler said he did not know what changes, if any, are planned for the shopping plaza, which opened in August 2008. Owner Wells Fargo would make that call, he said.

“We’re managing it for them and whatever decisions they make is up to them,” he said.

In July, the previous development group that managed Glen Lakes Shoppes announced it was facing foreclosure proceedings.

The shopping center was a victim of the economy, Kristi Marcel, assistant property manager with Paradise Ventures, the leasing agent, told Hernando Today at the time.

“It just doesn’t have enough tenants,” according to Marcel.

The SunTrust and Walgreens parcels were unaffected.
