Brooksville man dies walking along Sunshine Grove Road

BROOKSVILLE – A 20-year-old Brooksville man died Friday night after being hit by a car while walking along Sunshine Grove Road.

Kevin Michael Giddens was walking southbound when a Ford E150 driven by Jeffrey Bart Zadeh, 33, of Spring Hill, collided with Giddens.

Giddens was thrown to the grass shoulder from the impact, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report, sustaining serious injuries.

Giddens was transported to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he later died from his injuries.

Charges are pending, and the incident remains under investigation.

The report states Zadeh was not injured, and it is not known whether the incident was alcohol related.
