Five local high school baseball players were named 2013 Preseason All Americans by Under Armour and will play in the Under Armour Preseason Tournament this weekend in Tucson, Ariz.

Tampa Prep OF Matt Hodges (2015), River Ridge RHP/C Christian Northrup (2013), Seminole OF Jacob Silverstein (2015), Steinbrenner LHP Nick Sucarichi (2013) and Hernando’s 1B/C Brooks Timmons (2013) are the five standout players that will play at the Kino Sports Complex, the former Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox.

According to a press release, the top high school players will be part of a 20-team wood bat tournament and eams will be broken up by region to compete for the championship.
