Full Blue Moon Hike
8:00-9:30pm. Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road (CR-476, one mile west of US-41N), Brooksville, 34601. You are invited to join the Conservation Center staff on a night hike to celebrate the full moon. There will be a brief presentation on creatures of the night, a stop by the bat-houses to watch the Brazilian free-tailed bat emerge for their night out. Participants will then hike to the Mays Prairie overlook to look for owls and other creatures that get up when the sun goes down! Please dress appropriately for evening hiking; bring water and insect repellent. The program is for ages twelve and up; there is no charge, but advance registration is recommended. “Aim High for Education” Turkey Shoot
8:00am-2:00pm. Hernando Sportsman’s Club, 16121 Commercial Way (US-19, just 9 miles N of Weeki Wachee), Brooksville, 34614. Sponsored by Communities in Schools, shooters and non-shooters alike are invited to join a full day of fun in support of education in Hernando County. Turkey Shoot participants must bring your own firearm and ammo (factory ammo only; no reloads allowed). A target shoot, poker shoot, and bottle splash will also take place. Be a Heimlich Hero

Monster Transmission / Chick-Fil-A Charity Cruise-In
