HBA swears in new board members

The Hernando Builders Association held their annual Awards and Installation Banquet, Oct. 22 at the Palace Grand. The event was sponsored by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty.

Congressman Richard Nugent performed the installation ceremony for the directors and officers.

Installed were: Phil Roush of Roush Construction and Joey Pastore of Pastore Custom Builders as Builder Directors; Andy Carr of Sunrise Propane and Kyle Goble of Goble Concrete as Associate Directors; Scott Constance of Constance Home Builders as Secretary; Dudley Hampton Jr. of BJH Construction General Contractors as Treasurer; Randy Woodruff of Suncoast CPA Group as 2nd Vice President; Blaise Ingoglia of Hartland Homes as 1st Vice President; and Steve Culp of Property Services General Contractors as the new President.

The 2012 Builder of the Year, Palmwood Construction, was presented an award accepted by Chris Glover, former HBA president from 2011-2012. Remodeler of the Year went to Property Services General Contractors, owned by Steve Culp. Associate of the Year went to Sunrise Propane, Andy Carr, sales & marketing. Volunteer of the Year went to James Linn of Universal Soil Solutions.

Additionally, The HBA, Let’s Hear it for the Girls fashion show and luncheon made a donation to Mary’s House, a woman’s outreach program of Jericho Road Ministries. Shawna Fleming of LRE Ground Services and fashion show committee volunteer presented Cheryl Hart from Mary’s House with a check for $300 at the banquet. Founded in 1975, the Hernando Builders Association is a Brooksville-based trade association representing members involved in Hernando County’s home building, remodeling and commercial construction industry. Chartered by the National Association of Home Builders and the Florida Home Builders Association as the Hernando County affiliate.
