17-year-old stabbed at Delta Woods Park
SPRING HILL –
A 19-year-old Spring Hill woman is facing aggravated assault charges after law enforcement officials claim she stabbed a juvenile with a knife during a fight.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Zahra Chibberton was arrested Sunday after a deputy claims she met with a 17-year-old girl at Delta Woods Park in Spring Hill to fight her.
During the fight, Chibberton pulled out a knife and stabbed the girl in the abdomen and then ran off according to the report.
Sgt. Donna Black, a spokeswoman for HCSO, said the girl was life-flighted out of county for non-life threatening injuries. She said she doesn’t know which hospital she was flown to or what the girl’s condition is.
When deputies questioned Chibberton at her home, she told them she did pull out a knife and swung “at other parties involved in the fight.” She added she didn’t know if she had hit anyone.
Sgt. Donna Black, a spokeswoman with the HCSO, said the fight is still under investigation.
