Woman facing fraud charges dies

BROOKSVILLE – A former Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union manager facing organized fraud charges has died.

Jennifer Hoefler, 41, of Floral City, died on Monday.

Hoefler was arrested in March for withdrawing about $50,000 from a victim’s account over a 12-month period. Hoefler admitted to sheriff’s detectives she took the money to fuel her pain pill addiction, and was facing federal charges at the time of her death.

Hoefler is survived by her husband and three children.
