VICE DETECTIVES REMOVE LARGE AMOUNT OF DRUGS AND GUNS FROM HERNANDO COUNTY STREETS

On 12-04-15 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s Vice and Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 236 B Street in Brooksville. The search warrant is a result of a lengthy narcotics investigation.

DETECTIVES REMOVE LARGE AMOUNT OF DRUGS
Pursuant to the search warrant, detectives discovered items and paraphernalia that indicated the manufacturing of crack cocaine. Along with these items, detectives discovered 108.56 grams of crack cocaine, 28.04 grams of marijuana, two handguns, and $10,000 in U.S. currency.

The suspect of the investigation, Leandre Wright, resides at the residence and is a convicted felon. Wright is unemployed.
Upon arrival of detectives, Wright fled in a vehicle and is currently still at large. At this time, Wright has active felony warrants for his arrest. The charges are as follows:
• Trafficking in Cocaine (2 counts)
• Unlawful Use of Two-Way Communication Device
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The warrants are a result of previous undercover operations involving Hernando County detectives.
Charges for the search warrant are pending.
