Search warrant leads to drug arrests

WEEKI WACHEE Acting on a search warrant, detectives arrested three adults and one minor on drug charges Tuesday, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives found 6 pounds of marijuana at 10162 Margeno St. in Weeki Wachee, and small amounts of methamphetamine and one Hydrocodone pill. The Florida Department of Children and Families removed “several” children from the home, according to a sheriff’s office media release.

Eric Hooper, 34, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a structure for narcotics sales, child neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence. Hooper bonded out for $18,000 Wednesday morning.

Also arrested was Sherry Lohr, 35, for possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana. Lohr remains in the Hernando County Jail on $2,500 bond. Tara Lindberg, 31 of Brooksville, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and also continues to be held on $2,500 bond.

Jail records show Hooper was arrested for battery charges in 2011, and Lindberg was booked on two charges of larceny in September 2012.
