Search Warrant in Weeki Wachee Leads to Two Arrests

On 04-06-16, detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit and members of the SWAT team executed a search warrant at 12269 Purple Galinule Avenue in Weeki Wachee, the residence of Jamie Lovett.

The search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation where undercover Vice and Narcotics detectives were able to purchase methamphetamine from Lovett on several occasions.

At approximately 8 a.m., detectives made contact with two individuals within the house, at which time both subjects were taken into custody without incident.

Pursuant to the search, detectives located baggies of methamphetamine (27.27 grams total), a misdemeanor amount of marijuana, various controlled substances to include, alprazolam, hydromorphone and diazepam, various items of drug paraphernalia and assorted ammunition for firearms.

Lovett is currently on probation for forgery /fraud and has a criminal history that includes narcotic arrests.

Those arrested and their charges are as follows:

– Jamie Lovett W/M DOB/07-19-1977
– Violation of felony probation
– Trafficking in methamphetamine
– Three counts of sale and possession of methamphetamine
– Possession of a structure for the purpose of selling methamphetamine
– Unlawful use of a two- way communication device
– Possession of controlled substance
– Possession of marijuana
– Possession of drug paraphernalia
– Possession of ammunition by felon
– Being held with no bond
