At approximately 8:56 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s detectives and officers from Parole and Probation arrived at Arzola’s residence, which is located at 31194 Stoney Brook Drive in Brooksville. Arzola and Perez were placed into custody for arrest warrants. Pursuant to searching the residence, detectives located four handguns and several rounds of ammunition. Detectives also found numerous methadone pills, which were not prescribed to Arzola. Various items of drug paraphernalia, including syringes and scales, were also located in the residence.

Arzola was charged with four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia in association with the search warrant.

Arzola was also arrested on four warrants for Sale and Possession of Heroin and one warrant for Trafficking in Heroin, which stemmed from the previous undercover operations.

Perez was arrested on two warrants for Principle in the First Degree for Trafficking in Heroin, for her participation in the earlier deals.

While on scene, an associate of Arzola, Zachary Krause arrived and was placed into custody for an arrest warrant on charges of Driving with License Suspended or Revoked.

Detectives spoke to neighbors of Arzola and Perez. Neighbors explained that they were grateful for the sheriff’s office response and described Arzola as a neighborhood bully who was involved with suspicious activity.

Sheriff Al Nienhuis said, “Everyone can remember the neighborhood bully from their childhood. When that bully is an adult with firearms, who is involved with drugs, it becomes much, much more serious. It takes a lot of time to conduct a thorough and proper investigation like this, but both the bullies and the neighborhood can rest assured that we will address the problem. If convicted, this person will spend many years in prison for his actions.”

Arzola’s probation was violated, and he was arrested with no bond.
