Plant sale is set

The annual Spring Plant Sale hosted by Hernando County Master Gardeners is happening from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Master Gardener Nursery, 19490 Oliver St., Brooksville. Plants for sale include trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials and Florida native plants. Proceeds will be used to maintain and grow the Hernando County Master Gardener program and fund school gardening in Hernando County. For information, call (352) 754-4433.

Meet the modelers

The Nature Coast Model Show takes place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Dana’s Railroad Supply, 4042 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill. There is no admission fee or charge for tables, but bring your own chair. All ship, airplane, car, truck, military, plastic or wood models and dioramas are welcome. Festival of Orchids

Browse through a variety of orchid displays at the Festival of Orchids, taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Suncoast Dance Hall (formerly SNPJ Hall), 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill. You can speak with growers to gain valuable information about orchids, visit with vendors, buy plants and stop by the potting booth for tips about growing and caring for your orchids. Bazaar is fundraiser for Family Nights

The event is a fundraiser for Family Nights, which share educational information and provide free, family-oriented activities for families to bond.
