Spring Hill man dies after rear-ending school bus on S.R. 50

A Spring Hill man ( 57-year-old ) was killed Wednesday evening when he ran into the back of a school bus on State Road 50, east of Mitchell Road, authorities said. No children were aboard the bus.

Wale Alan Varney , 57 ,died Wednesday evening after running into the back of a school bus at a railroad crossing, authorities said.

He failed to stop his 1998 Mercury Racer and crashed into the bus on westbound State Road 50, east of Mitchell Road, around 5 p.m. He died at the scene.

No children were aboard the bus, and the driver, Juan Enrique Rivera, 51, of Spring Hill, was not charged.
