President’s campaigning is not leadership

Four and a half years in office the president is still in campaign mode delivering speeches to handpicked audiences including high school kids who haven’t a clue as to what the heck he is talking about.

It is all about optics and cheering people who can’t find gainful employment and are losing purchasing power every day. Instead of a president trying to build confidence, we have not a great communicator but a great divider who is preaching class warfare and hatred that is like throwing a match into the proverbial gas tank.

Instead of providing calm and reason and confidence Obama in his speech predicts violence due to income inequality; that he well knows could become self-fulfilling. His new economic theory is that the economy must grow from the middle out and not from the top down, or as President John F. Kennedy stated, a rising tide floats all boats.

This was dismissed by Obama, probably because Obama’s playbook is out of the socialist mantras of Marx, et al. When will the low-information voter get beyond the rhetoric and ask for the results that the administration has not produced?

They are enamored by a slick con artist who uses words to misdirect the people but constantly promotes class warfare. I hate to make comparison to other so-called leaders who united people behind them by scapegoating innocent people and using them to divert people’s attention as to what the “leader” was really doing.

The president makes a statement that Washington has taken its eye off the ball but fails to admit that he is Washington and the speaking tour is a way of diverting attention from the “phony scandals” like Benghazi, where our ambassador was murdered along with three other Americans who died trying to protect others.

We still don’t know where the commander-in-chief was during the attack; heaven forbid if that was George W. Bush … he would have been lynched by the press.

Then we move to the IRS scandal, which the president described as despicable and that he would get to the bottom of it. His talk is cheap and the mainstream media never follows up to hold him accountable for anything.

Worst of all the president has taken it upon himself to implement laws he favors or unilaterally decides he will not implement laws he doesn’t think are politically good for him.

The Republicans in Congress better get off their duffs and begin to make some noise about this administration because if they don’t they will find themselves relegated to the back benches for a long time to come. Stop worrying about consultants giving bad advice and remember that when conservatism is a program it wins.

Forget trying to get people to like you and vote for you because it will never happen. You need to jettison RINOs like McCain and Graham and follow the lead of Sen. Ted Cruz and others like him.
