Man charged with burglarizing ABC Supply in Brooksville

A 31-year-old Spring Hill man faces burglary charges after police say he broke into ABC Supply in Brooksville on Friday and took several items.

Javier Michel Bolano Delgado also faces charges of criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools and was being held on $10,500 bond at the Hernando County Detention Center.

Just after 9 p.m. Friday Brooksville police officers noticed a suspicious vehicle on the east side of U.S. 98 near North Avenue, according to an arrest report.

As the officer pulled behind the vehicle, a man, later identified as Delgado, ran towards North Avenue, police said.

Police made contact with the vehicle’s driver and found seven new air nailers, a hammer and a set of bolt cutters in the vehicle, according to the report.

Nearby, at ABC Supply, 600 Ponce De Leon Blvd., officers found a fence that had been cut and the door to the business smashed, police said.

Delgado, an employee of ABC Supply, was located at North Avenue and Stafford Avenue and was identified as the person who put the items in the vehicle, according to the report.
