The homeowner advised law enforcement that after he returned home, he saw a man who he did not know, later identified as Keenan, inside his garage, an arrest affidavit shows.

Keenan fled on a bicycle, and was stopped at the intersection of County Line Road and Ruskin Avenue, deputies said.

The homeowner later identified Keenan as the man who was in his garage and deputies found a set of keys to a 2014 Honda CRV that were taken from the home, deputies said.

Keenan told Det. Dane Jenkins he entered the garage and took the items, deputies said.

“I have issues,” Keenan told the detective.

The transient man was taken to the Hernando County Jail and booked on charges of burglary of a dwelling, where he remained in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Court records show Keenan was convicted of possession of paraphernalia and trespass of a structure or conveyance on April 16, and sentenced to 28 days time served in the jail.
