Hernando Beach cardboard boat race is Sept. 27

HERNANDO BEACH — Organizers of the second annual Hernando Beach Cardboard Boat Race are looking for cardboard boat entries, live entertainment, food and regular vendors for the Sept. 27 event at Hernando Beach Marina.

All proceeds of the race go to boating education and practical marine environmental issues, such as area water clean-ups.

The race is sponsored by the Hernando Beach Marine Safety Support Group, Hernando Beach Marina and ALLSTAR Awards
