Detectives Investigating Early Morning Shooting

Spring Hill — Hernando County detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that occurred at 5144 Landover Boulevard in Spring Hill.

At approximately 2:32 a.m., operators in the Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from a person advising that someone at this location had been shot.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim with at least one gunshot wound.

Hernando County Fire/Rescue treated the victim on scene then transported him to a nearby landing zone. The victim was then transported to a trauma center by medical helicopter. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The victim has been identified as Kyle Ehatt W/M DOB/03-31-1983.

All parties have been accounted for. There is NO suspect at large and NO danger to the community.

The investigation is active. No additional information is available at this time.
