Blueberry Festival Coloring Contest winners announced

Oak Hill Hospital’s pediatric emergency room, in collaboration with the Florida Blueberry Festival and the Hernando County School District, held a Blueberry Festival coloring contest.

In the 8-10 year old category the winner was Alanis Baez, 10, from Explorer K-8.

All K-8 school children were eligible and encouraged to participate. One winner was chosen from each of three age categories, 5-7, 8-11, 11-13. Schools developed their own judging procedures and mailed one winner per age category to the Blueberry Festival headquarters.

The grand prize winners will receive a $150 gift card at the May 6 school board meeting.
