Armed Home Invasion – 1326 Brook Drive

On 05-02-16, Hernando County deputies received a tip that David Thomas Williams was at a residence on Stubbs Street in Brooksville.
Deputies responded to 820 Stubbs Street and located Williams.
Williams was positively identified and taken into custody without incident.
Williams was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center where he will be held on a no bond status, per the warrant.
Original Information
Hernando County Sheriff’s detectives are conducting an investigation into an Armed Home Invasion that occurred at 1326 Brook Drive in Brooksville just after 4 a.m. this morning.
Investigation revealed that the suspect, David Thomas Williams B/M DOB/07-24-1996 (AKA/Wooda), went to the residence on Brook Drive and became involved in an altercation with one or more persons there. During the altercation, Williams discharged a handgun.
Detectives are currently searching for Williams, who reportedly may have ties to or be hiding out in the area of Twigg Street in Brooksville.
The charges for David Thomas Williams B/M DOB/07-24-1996 are as follows:
• Armed Home Invasion
• Shooting Into Occupied Dwelling
• Aggravated Assault w/Firearm
• Domestic Battery
• Restraining Order Violation
• Witness Tampering.
