Concert to benefit United Way

BROOKSVILLE Nature Coast Children’s Crusade will host SHARK AID 2010 “Giving Back to the Village” charity concert from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Nature Coast Technical High School’s stadium located at 4057 California St.

Performances by area bands such as Clench Fist, Southern Reign, Radio Therapy, and Act of Class will be featured.

Entrance fee will be $1 per person plus two nonperishable food items. Games and food will also be featured.

Donations sought for Shrine Auction

BROOKSVILLE Hernando County Shrine Club is seeking donations for its annual auction to be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at Umsted’s Family Auction at CCA Charity Auction House, 2035 South Broad St. Household items, tools, toys, collectibles, glassware, jewelry, coins, books, antiques, furniture, appliances, pictures, etc. will be accepted. Items do not need to be new but should be in good condition. All proceeds of the auction will go to the Shrine Hospital for Children in Tampa. During 2009, 425 children from Hernando County were treated free of charge for orthopaedic problems and burn injuries at the Tampa hospital.
